Here’s To Your Radical Act Of Pleasure.

If you’ve ever known pleasure, you know how painful it is to watch it slip away.

To recall what it feels like to relish in the pleasure of your own creation. Having tasted it, seen it with your eyes, felt it in your body.

And to think of these memories as a pastime. A time when you had it all figured out. Wondering how it slipped through your very fingers. It’s tragic, heartbreaking.

Pleasure is slippery. Treating yourself like a queen is not always easy. Sometimes it feels like all the cards are stacked against you.

Taking care of ourselves is not a selfish act. The cosmic joke is that self care is the exact opposite. It’s in service to the divine, it serves not just yourself but everyone around you. Acts of pleasure allow you to move through whatever comes at you, with a thick padding of self love.

These are some practices I’ve used to stay centered in my pleasure. None of these things are “radical” but self love in today’s world is inherently radical. To take a moment to honor your body as a sacred vessel. A collaboration with greatness. It takes commitment.

🍋 Dancing like no one's watching (I dare you. It’s so underrated)
🍋 Bathing with epsom salt and candles
🍋 Journaling
🍋 Pulling goddess cards
🍋 Slowly eating Dark Chocolate
🍋 Luxurious lack of plans
🍋 Self-pleasuring listening to Deva Premal
🍋 Cozy blankets or soft clothes

Here’s to your radical act of pleasure.

XO,

Sara
