A few years ago when I was at corporate I felt like I was working every minute of every day. Weekends were dedicated to extreme self care to try and fill my bucket with the energy I needed to start another week. Every Sunday I filled my bucket a bit and by Friday it was drained. Before long the self care was really just covering the deficit of energy drain from the week, it wasn’t actually contributing to much more than just that.
So I went on, tenaciously trying to refill my cup each weekend in hopes to get me thru the upcoming week or maybe even through Monday.
A few weeks ago a dear friend of mine who I’ve known since we were 19 years old signed up for private coaching. After our first session she said “Sara, you were made for this. You found your calling.”
And she’s right. Because the career that I’m pursuing now thrives off my self care, it doesn’t deplete it.
My business thrives off the more magnetic I am, the more in tune with myself I am, the more powerful I am, the more impactful I am.
I can still be tired after a long week but my work no longer drains me. My responsibility to my career is self care.
How do I know I’m on the right path? When my career no longer compromises my mental, emotional, and spiritual health. When its aligned that I can now make money from the things that I love doing.
I made $10k in my business this month by prioritizing rest, naps, meditation, time in nature and more rest.
The world needs more women stepping from the confines of what they “should do” and listening to their inner compass.
If you are curious how I did this, the answer is: not alone.
No one was meant to do this alone. I’m here for your journey. Send me a DM and let’s connect, babe!
