Drawing a Line for your Dreams

What would your future self say about where you decided to draw the line between your current situation and your dream life? I recently invited this question even though it stung.

Why do we feel like our dreams are so far away and belong to others before they could possibly belong to us? The truth is our dreams ARE SINGULAR and unique to us and fully attainable with a little thought work.

When are we going to stop emotionally satisfying the people in our lives over ourselves? I bet you can list the hopes and dreams of the most important people in your life, you might even help accomplish them. That’s all fine and good but can you say the same for yourself? Are you aware of your deepest desires, your fantasies about how good life could be? It’s so easy for us to put the attention on others and much harder to turn inward. Can you make a list of your values? Not your partners, not your parents, but yours?

How can we fill ourselves up and only give away the overflow. We LOVE ourselves more. Thats how. And that’s hard. When we love ourselves there’s a lot more to lose when we die.
